Beware of job scams
Job Search Tip đź’ˇ
Job scams.
They are on the rise.
We recently came across a some stories from jobseekers who had recently experienced job fraud. In their story, the scammers were attempting to fraudulently get money from them, the “hired” individual, by requesting banking information to reimburse them for the office equipment they needed to purchase to start training. The email exchange and how quickly they were “hired” should have been a red flag.
Unfortunately, these situations are out there.
From what we are seeing, these scammers seem to prefer to take advantage of people who are looking for remote roles because it’s easier to keep all conversations electronically.
First, about us here at Bread.
We are not a recruiting firm or “headhunter”. We are not involved nor facilitate any part of the recruiting, interviewing, or job offer process for any other organization.
We work hard to only share current and open roles at companies.
We would not ask you to send us any money or ask for credit card or banking information regarding a job posting.
Any representative from us will have an email with our domain – example: [email protected]. Watch out for generic emails from a “representative” at any company you are in contact with.
As you continue your job search, below are some great resources to continue to educate yourself about job employment fraud.

"The Guiding Cloud and Fire"
Sometimes, no matter how long I think about a decision, I can’t seem to find a clear answer. I can easily slip into rumination and anxiety. We all need God’s guidance.
Looking back over my life, I can say it was not my wisdom or intelligence that guided me, but rather it was God alone.
Former NFL quarterback and current broadcaster Tim Tebow has relied on God’s guidance both in sports and in his transition to a career beyond football.
In 2011, Tebow led the Denver Broncos to several comeback victories, even securing a playoff win in dramatic fashion against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although Tebow was a celebrated athlete, his NFL dream did not unfold as expected.
Facing a series of rejections, Tebow described the difficulty of not knowing his next steps and feeling that his dream career was slipping away, despite his hard work and determination. He channeled this belief into other ventures, finding new purpose in broadcasting, minor league baseball, and philanthropic work. He followed the providential guidance of God in his life.
Tebow said, “I don’t know what my future holds, but I do know who holds my future.”
When the Israelites journeyed through the desert, God appeared as a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night, guiding their way. Deuteronomy assures us that God “will go before you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Jesus promises that we’re not left as orphans. In your wilderness, God’s presence lights the way. Picture Him as your guide, leading through the unknown, illuminating every dark path.
Like a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night, God leads you through life’s wilderness.
Today, let His faithful guidance be your comfort—your light in the night, your direction in the day.
